A memorable afternoon at Portman Road for a number of reasons. Ipswich annihilated WBA 7-0 in November 1976, equalling the club's record score. And one of the scorers was Paul Mariner, with his first goal for Town. Trevor Whymark scored four times, with John Wark and Kevin Beattie also on target.
