Steve Froggatt.

A £1 million signing from Villa in July 1994. He had been an out and out winger at Villa but under Mark McGhee he developed into a fine attacking wing-back, winning a spot in the PFA's second tier selection in 1997. In September 1998 he was transferred to Coventry for a record £1.9 million, playing against Scotland for England at Hampden Park under Kevin Keegan. Where could his career have taken him without injury? 112+ 8 apps, 11 goals.

Tony Daley.

Did somebody mention injuries? His debut was put on ice for a year. Got an outing as a substitute under Graham Taylor and then broke down again and missed all of 1996/97. Arrived from Villa with a huge reputation as a fast and electric winger for a record £1.25m in July 1994 but managed only 24 outings in three seasons. Given a free transfer in May 1998. A lot fitter these days as the club’s fitness guru. Oh the irony. 20+7 apps, 4 goals.

Robbie Dennison.

Robbie Dennison of Wolverhampton Wanderers (1987-1997), 293 (40).
Robbie Dennison - And once again, big thank you to Ron Saunders. Snapped up for £20,000 from Albion in March 1987. Two years later he had two title winning medals and a Wembley winners' medal after scoring in the 2-0 final Sherpa Van win over Burnley in 1988. He made his debut for the club on March 14, 1987 in a 4-0 win over Swansea City and quickly found his feet on the left wing. In total, he made over 300 appearances in total for Wolves, scoring 49 times. A real fans' favourite capped 18 times by Northern Ireland. 316 + 37 apps, 49 goals.
