The penalty kick was introduced to the game in the 1891/92 season, and our first picture comes from exactly 100 years ago this month, from a clash between Manchester United and Tottenham in October, 1913. George Stacey, a key member of United sides that won the club's first ever league titles in 1908 and 1911, converts a penalty for the Reds here in a 3-1 win.
