Joey Beauchamp's story with West Ham is now infamous amongst the Hammers faithful. Signed from Oxford United for a staggering £1.2m in 1994, Beauchamp only lasted 58 days at the club before officially moving on to Swindon Town.



The reason behind his short spell in East London? The midfielder complained about the traffic travelling to the club each day from training from his home in Oxford. It was probably in West Ham's interest as Beauchamp was at best a reserve team player. Although he never actually played in the Premier League, his ridiculous story earns him a rightful position in this list.
